Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Padstow United's Alam Ramachandran started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Padstow United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alam Ramachandran to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the game Ali Cho made a throw-in which Ang Paine played forward. Gara Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alam Ramachandran in the 5th minute of play. Ryan Butcher charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryan Butcher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ryan Butcher hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, Great Leighs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Boon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Great Leighs booed when Padstow United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarb Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Great Leighs's Sajeev Politiek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sarb Kang in the 18 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Padstow United's Haziq Butcher got a free kick in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Boon during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 25 minutes into the game, one of Great Leighs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alam Ramachandran shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 28th minute, Gage Siang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Padstow United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Alex Boon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. Gara Seng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alam Ramachandran in the 34th minute of the match. Gage Siang charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gage Siang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Padstow United got a freekick which was hit by Gage Siang. Gara Seng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gage Siang went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ang Paine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gara Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicholas Liang's late challenge caught a Padstow United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicholas Liang helped the player get up and apologised. Padstow United's Gage Siang got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Padstow United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danial Phua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gage Siang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Padstow United's Sarb Kang got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gabriel Seah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danial Phua, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Ang Paine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Gage Siang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Cho made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Great Leighs's Nicholas Liang. The supporters of Great Leighs booed when Padstow United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alam Ramachandran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gara Seng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alam Ramachandran in the 74th minute. The throw-in from Ryan Butcher in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Padstow United's Alam Ramachandran. Great Leighs's Gara Seng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ang Paine in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Alam Ramachandran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Padstow United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alam Ramachandran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game was made by Ali Cho with Ang Paine as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Gage Siang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ryan Butcher fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 86th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Padstow United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
