Gara Hian's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ron Ning firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Muhammad Politiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muhammad Politiek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lamar Lum succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Ron Ning had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dale Ee. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dale Ee got free with Ron Ning in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Hamir Tian fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poulton-Le-Fylde's protests and gave Hamir Tian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Hamir Tian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ron Ning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamar Lum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Farnham defense, Muhammad Politiek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zack Ching. The Farnham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zack Ching should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute, Gara Hian made a precise shot to the right of Ron Ning. Poulton-Le-Fylde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Poulton-Le-Fylde's Ron Ning proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Poulton-Le-Fylde from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Famih Chien-Kwan came free, but Ron Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Poulton-Le-Fylde's Ron Ning got control of the ball when Dale Ee tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lamar Lum to make the kick off. Muhammad Politieks short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Zack Ching to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 69th minute, Gara Hian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Farnham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. If Lamar Lum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Hian kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Poulton-Le-Fylde's Ron Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lamar Lum in the 79th minute of play. Dale Ee took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ron Ning. Ron Ning dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If Dale Ee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dale Ee kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Muhammad Politiek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Zack Ching skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Lum in the 90th minute of play forced Poulton-Le-Fylde's goalkeeper Ron Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gara Hian struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ron Ning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farnham. 94 minutes into the match, Famih Chien-Kwan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ron Ning. Poulton-Le-Fylde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Famih Chien-Kwan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Farnham walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
