Darryl Hian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Love having to interfere. After 10 played minutes, Neaden's Daniel Pieng shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Keith Love came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Neaden reached it. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Neaden! Garry Law placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Stratford United's Keith Love played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alif Pillai in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Darryl Hian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neaden's supporters rose to their feet, but Darryl Hian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keith Love breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30thth minute of the game Darryl Hian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stratford United's Keith Love was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Keith Love made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alif Pillai in the 33rd minute of play. Brynn Bass hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alif Pillai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Love having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Garry Law hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Roger Shearer fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stratford United's protests and gave Roger Shearer a yellow card for diving instead. Darryl Hian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Love having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rufus Tomkins to strike the kick off in the second half. Darryl Hian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Keith Love tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Shearer got his second yellow card in the match during the 63rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Roger Shearer kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Darryl Hian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Keith Love made a huge save. Darryl Hian came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keith Love could save by the left post. With a little luck, Stratford United's Keith Love got control of the ball when Darryl Hian tried to sneak it across the goal line.
