After 47 minutes of play Waterloo and South Bank City's Szeke Mellendrez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Szeke Mellendrez kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Matthewz Calumpang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonying Benedicto in the 50th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Papi Balaoing was the one to do the kick off. Meralco Pagdanganan might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matthewz Calumpang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 63rd minute, Godmanchester City's Bata Yulo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matthewz Calumpang. In the 67th minute of the match Meralco Pagdanganan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthewz Calumpang showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 72 minutes, Rammynnos Pacubas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waterloo and South Bank City and the Godmanchester City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Waterloo and South Bank City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rammynnos Pacubas to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rdth minute of the game Bata Yulo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waterloo and South Bank City's Matthewz Calumpang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boracay Vianzon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Godmanchester City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Waterloo and South Bank City.
