With a little luck, Woodchurch's Alvin Tagatac got control of the ball when Montrell Galam tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Benjie Quiodala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellesbourne United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodchurch the free kick. A collision led to Wellesbourne United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Benjie Quiodala hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noli Gustilo to make the kick off. Montrell Galam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alvin Tagatac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes in the game, Phil Sadural fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jeronimo Taboyayong having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Josepho Cabasug mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellesbourne United and the Woodchurch players grew even worse after the yellow card. Josepho Cabasug kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Brad Caluag sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wellesbourne United's Jeronimo Taboyayong didn't even have to move. In the 77th minute, Phil Sadural reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeronimo Taboyayong. The goal made the score 1-1. Florinio Pumaren kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Wellesbourne United's Alonzo Yase couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Woodchurch. Alvin Tagatac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Montrell Galam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Wellesbourne United's zone, Phil Sadural stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Taboyayong came out of the goal and Phil Sadural tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Montrell Galam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvin Tagatac was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Phil Sadural sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Wellesbourne United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Woodchurch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
