After a rather tough play, Chorlton City's Dan Reyes got a free kick in the 7th minute. Thornhill's Hugh Batungbacal got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugh Batungbacal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Batungbacal having to interfere. Guy Batungbacal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michaelo Mamot, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Michaelo Mamot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guy Batungbacal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frascuelo Benipayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute Dan Reyes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Edsa Dimzon's late challenge caught a Chorlton City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edsa Dimzon helped the player get up and apologised. Frascuelo Benipayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Sioson having to interfere. Michaelo Mamot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Guy Batungbacal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frascuelo Benipayo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Chorlton City booed when Thornhill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristoval Frumenti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugh Batungbacal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Guy Batungbacal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play, Thornhill's Hugh Batungbacal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guy Batungbacal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frascuelo Benipayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Frank Sioson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Frascuelo Benipayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorlton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frascuelo Benipayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugh Batungbacal came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guy Batungbacal could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Frascuelo Benipayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorlton City's supporters rose to their feet, but Frascuelo Benipayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Sioson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fpj Banaag received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Frank Sioson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Michaelo Mamot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Fpj Banaag fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chorlton City's protests and gave Fpj Banaag a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes Chorlton City got a freekick which was hit by Fpj Banaag. With a little luck, Chorlton City's Guy Batungbacal got control of the ball when Michaelo Mamot tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Michaelo Mamot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Thornhill had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
