Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Michaelo Mamot started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Thornhill's Frank Sioson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szeke Tabug in the 2nd minute of play. After 4 played minutes, Faversham's Reymart Pacubas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frank Sioson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Faversham reached it. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Faversham's goalkeeper Mose Nieto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Edsa Dimzon fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thornhill's protests and gave Edsa Dimzon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Thornhill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edsa Dimzon to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Michaelo Mamot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mose Nieto was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Frank Sioson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Locsin in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Faversham's goal looked a bit too open when Michaelo Mamot came free, but Mose Nieto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Faversham's zone, Michaelo Mamot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mose Nieto came out of the goal and Michaelo Mamot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Thornhill's zone, Leon Locsin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 34th minute, Dodi Juagdan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Austin Joson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Faversham's Mose Nieto didn't even have to move. Hugh Batungbacal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Faversham's Earl Sioson got a free kick in the 44th minute. Hugh Batungbacal struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Mose Nieto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thornhill.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Locsin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugh Batungbacal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mose Nieto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. If Michaelo Mamot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Earl Sioson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faversham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thornhill the free kick. After 61 played minutes Faversham got a freekick which was hit by Earl Sioson. After 63 minutes, Michaelo Mamot made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Faversham's Mose Nieto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Faversham getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Earl Sioson hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Thornhill's Austin Joson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Thornhill fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Thornhill's Michaelo Mamot looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 83 minutes, Hugh Batungbacal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thornhill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugh Batungbacal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
