Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fermin Cagungon started the match with the kick off. Fermin Cagungon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Rogelio Mabaquiao made a huge save. In the 6th minute of the match Clayton Janeo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Isko Blas skillfully saved the ball. Fermin Cagungon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rogelio Mabaquiao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Cagungon in the 20th minute of play forced Malmesbury City's goalkeeper Rogelio Mabaquiao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Lindawan's late challenge caught a Walshaw FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Lindawan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Malmesbury City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Lindawan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Walshaw FC's zone, Amos Delacruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isko Blas came out of the goal and Amos Delacruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 27 played minutes Walshaw FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Querimit. In the 29th match minute, Walshaw FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Bandigas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Walshaw FC's zone, Aga Tecson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isko Blas came out of the goal and Aga Tecson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aga Tecson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Isko Blas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Fermin Cagungon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Malmesbury City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Querimit to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Francis Lumbang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walshaw FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Francis Lumbang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Mabaquiao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Malmesbury City getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jomari Gonong hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Malmesbury City got a freekick which was hit by Marco Lindawan. Fermin Cagungon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Mabaquiao having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Fermin Cagungon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Edmund Querimit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, George Querimit took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Isko Blas to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Aga Tecson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmesbury City's supporters rose to their feet, but Aga Tecson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isko Blas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that George Querimit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isko Blas was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. George Querimit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Marco Lindawan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmesbury City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Lindawan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malmesbury City's Marjo Manipula suffered a concussion after 90 minutes and had to leave the field. Jemir Ortega's late challenge caught a Malmesbury City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jemir Ortega helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Walshaw FC's Isko Blas got control of the ball when Aga Tecson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aga Tecson struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Isko Blas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmesbury City. Amos Delacruz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 98th minute. Malmesbury City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
