Herman Margarse hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Gilbert Sabile's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joe Sablon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peterborough United's zone, Patrick Tecson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joe Sablon came out of the goal and Patrick Tecson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leigh Benipayo during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Leigh Benipayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jejomar Benipayo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Melvin Guanlao went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Cornelius Naguiat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irvine Lagos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Sablon having to interfere. After 40 minutes, Brad Monzon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Isle Of Dogs United and the Peterborough United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 49th minute of the match, Melvin Guanlao tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jejomar Benipayo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilbert Sabile to strike the kick off in the second half. Melvin Guanlao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jejomar Benipayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornelius Naguiat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jejomar Benipayo having to interfere. If Gilbert Sabile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gus Matibag kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Peterborough United's Joe Sablon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Peterborough United from getting a goal against them. Isle Of Dogs United's Jejomar Benipayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melvin Guanlao in the 77th minute of play. Jejomar Benipayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelius Naguiat, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Cornelius Naguiat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melvin Guanlao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jejomar Benipayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xerex Cabanag took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jejomar Benipayo. Jejomar Benipayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Xerex Cabanag hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Cornelius Naguiat struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jejomar Benipayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peterborough United. In the 97th minute Cornelius Naguiat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jejomar Benipayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Isle Of Dogs United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peterborough United.
