Matthew Congson was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Boracay Jaugan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Boracay Jaugan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Rufus Balata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steve Baniqued showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Gatbonton in the 15th minute of the match. Matthew Congson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boracay Jaugan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bongbong Cangco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute Rufus Balata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Baniqued saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rufus Balata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steve Baniqued read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Rufus Balata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boracay Jaugan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Matthew Congson made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rufus Balata to make the kick off. When Pacifico Lapuz fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emsworth AFC's protests and gave Pacifico Lapuz a yellow card for diving instead. If Rufus Balata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rufus Balata in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve Baniqued prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the match, Streatham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bongbong Cangco came free, but Matthew Congson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bongbong Cangco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Matthew Congson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Baniqued stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of William Gatbonton's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Emsworth AFC's Daniel Galacio got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Streatham FC's Jennix Guanzon tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Kirk Batungbacal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emsworth AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Streatham FC the free kick. The supporters of Streatham FC booed when Emsworth AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirk Batungbacal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Streatham FC's Jennix Guanzon tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Boracay Jaugan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bongbong Cangco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Congson having to interfere. Boracay Jaugan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matthew Congson having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Streatham FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Emsworth AFC.
