Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bartolome Nacapuy made the kick off which started today's match. When Jonas Perez came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Playing Place fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Perez couldn't finish the play. Carl Quingco charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Quingco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Playing Place's Bartolome Nacapuy got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mark Jacutin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Bartolome Nacapuy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mark Jacutin. Rugeley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolome Nacapuy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Noah Pacubas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silas Baniqued read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 40th minute, Tondo Madali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the game, Playing Place's Jonas Perez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Jacutin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Playing Place getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jonas Perez hit a great ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Noah Pacubas to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jonas Perez came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Playing Place fans jumped to their feet. Mark Jacutin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolome Nacapuy in the 64th minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 65th minute when Noah Pacubas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Bartolome Nacapuy had to leave the field with a concussion. When Szeke Quimot fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rugeley's protests and gave Szeke Quimot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, Rugeley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szeke Quimot to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match, Jonas Perez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mark Jacutin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Rugeley's Mark Jacutin got control of the ball when Jonas Perez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mark Jacutin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonas Perez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 80 minute of play. After some careless play in the Playing Place defense, Nicholas Batungbacal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silas Baniqued. The Playing Place fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silas Baniqued should have stopped the shot. Noah Pacubas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Baniqued having to interfere. Nicholas Batungbacal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Playing Place eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
