Elizur Dalog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sasan Lagos having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Spalding FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Inton to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Sabio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Younghusband having to interfere. If Ambrosio Queppet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 18 minutes, Elizur Dalog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spalding FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elizur Dalog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ambrosio Queppet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Sasan Lagos made a huge save. If Abraham Sabio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes Canvey Island's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was August Parotong who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that August Parotong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sasan Lagos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Sabio in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Younghusband prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ambrosio Queppet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sasan Lagos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Martin Matibag fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canvey Island's protests and gave Martin Matibag a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, Canvey Island was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Matibag to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abraham Sabio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Gabby Narvaez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canvey Island's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabby Narvaez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Younghusband breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute Elizur Dalog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sasan Lagos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spalding FC's Virgilio Younghusband proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Spalding FC from getting a goal against them. Gabby Narvaez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Younghusband made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabby Narvaez in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Abraham Sabio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgilio Younghusband. Abraham Sabio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 79th minute, Gabby Narvaez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Younghusband was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Spalding FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gani Parangalan hit a great ball. Canvey Island's Inosram Magalued couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Spalding FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabby Narvaez got free with Virgilio Younghusband in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Virgilio Younghusband showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Sabio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Abraham Sabio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Younghusband saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabby Narvaez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Younghusband having to interfere. Elizur Dalog struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Sasan Lagos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spalding FC. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Canvey Island had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
