The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Wonohardjo's goal looked a bit too open when Djati Simanungkalit came free, but Leonard Akmal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Sigit Mainaky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Wonohardjo's Fadh Akmal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Donny Budikusuma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasum Ketaren in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of Wonohardjo booed when Sofifi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hastomo Darwis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hastomo Darwis came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Sofifi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hastomo Darwis couldn't finish the play. When Fadh Akmal fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wonohardjo's protests and gave Fadh Akmal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Fadh Akmal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hastomo Darwis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Wonohardjo's zone, Hastomo Darwis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Akmal came out of the goal and Hastomo Darwis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a defensive mix-up in Sofifi FC's zone, Nasum Ketaren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donny Budikusuma came out of the goal and Nasum Ketaren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Sipiongot Martin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wonohardjo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sipiongot Martin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donny Budikusuma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasum Ketaren in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Wonohardjo's Nasum Ketaren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donny Budikusuma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasum Ketaren in the 64th minute of play forced Sofifi FC's goalkeeper Donny Budikusuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonard Akmal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hastomo Darwis, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Sofifi FC's Donny Budikusuma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nasum Ketaren in the 91st minute of play. If Hastomo Darwis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
