Robbie Kusumah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henry Sembiring charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Robbie Kusumah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dian Pane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Dian Pane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robbie Kusumah in the 55th minute. With his leg Dian Pane managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when PSS Timbongaloe's Robbie Kusumah fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 62nd play minute Robbie Kusumah came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dian Pane. 0-1. Sigit Akmal's late challenge caught a Meureulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sigit Akmal helped the player get up and apologised. Sigit Akmal kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With a little luck, Meureulo's Dian Pane got control of the ball when Robbie Kusumah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruslan Febrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boy Arbi in the 73rd minute of play.
