Jakob Ramadhonna started the match with the kick off. Jakob Ramadhonna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tandoboelio FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ichwan Alexander hit a great ball. Bongky Wibowo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Suprianto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 23 minutes, Yahya Dewa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tandoboelio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Dewa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jakob Ramadhonna struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bongky Wibowo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kotanopan. Bongky Wibowo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Ramadhonna, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Budi Subagdja acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tiar Muchtaji. A collision led to Kotanopan getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Andi Akmal hit a great ball. Rio Tarigan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Budi Subagdja having to interfere. If Jakob Ramadhonna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 49 minutes, Henry Barus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kotanopan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Barus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rio Tarigan to strike the kick off in the second half. Kotanopan's Martin Suprianto got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tandoboelio FC's zone, Martin Suprianto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bongky Wibowo came out of the goal and Martin Suprianto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Sipayung charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henry Sipayung the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kotanopan booed when Tandoboelio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Sipayung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Suprianto struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Bongky Wibowo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kotanopan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Ramadhonna in the 73rd minute of play forced Tandoboelio FC's goalkeeper Bongky Wibowo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Budi Subagdja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rio Tarigan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute, Yahya Dewa made a precise shot to the right of Budi Subagdja. Kotanopan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Rio Tarigan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Tandoboelio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rio Tarigan couldn't finish the play. Martin Supriantos short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Bongky Wibowo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 96th match minute, Tandoboelio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ichwan Alexander to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Tandoboelio FC's Bongky Wibowo got control of the ball when Martin Suprianto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tandoboelio FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kotanopan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
