Hastomo Sitepu started the match with the kick off. Pandapotan Suprianto hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Taufik Haryanto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bulek Simanungkalit in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Kertapati FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Adith Simanungkalit hit a great ball. Taufik Haryanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bulek Simanungkalit in the 16th minute of the match. Sipiongot Ketaren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hastomo Sitepu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sipiongot Ketaren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hastomo Sitepu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Firdaus Ridliwan fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pitara's protests and gave Firdaus Ridliwan a yellow card for diving instead. Firdaus Ridliwan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Kertapati FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 29th minute of the game, when Sipiongot Budiarto after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Pitara's goal. Sipiongot Budiarto was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pitara's zone, Lelo Ie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taufik Haryanto came out of the goal and Lelo Ie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sipiongot Budiarto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Taufik Haryanto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Sipiongot Ketaren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hastomo Sitepu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bulek Simanungkalit to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Pitara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rio Budiarto to maneuver through the defense. Lelo Ie scored 1-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taufik Haryanto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Elie Dewa came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Pitara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elie Dewa couldn't finish the play. Sipiongot Ketaren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hastomo Sitepu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lelo Ie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Mahadi Sitepu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kertapati FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pitara the free kick. The supporters of Pitara booed when Kertapati FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mahadi Sitepu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Elie Dewa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pitara's supporters rose to their feet, but Elie Dewa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sipiongot Ketaren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Pitara's Hastomo Sitepu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sipiongot Ketaren. Sipiongot Ketaren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 83 minutes into the match, Kertapati FC's goalkeeper Sipiongot Ketaren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hastomo Budiarto. Elie Dewa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sipiongot Ketaren made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Elie Dewa sent off a good shot on target. Kertapati FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
