The supporters of Mareleng FC booed when Cijeungir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hastomo Budiarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sipiongot Febrian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cijeungir's Nasum Tarigan got control of the ball when Martin Hans tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Widodo Akmal in the 26th minute of play forced Cijeungir's goalkeeper Nasum Tarigan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Dian Febrian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Nasum Tarigan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sipiongot Febrian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gendo Arbi having to interfere. Elie Ramadhonna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gendo Arbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Widodo Akmal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Cijeungir's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Martin Hans fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nasum Tarigan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Hans in the 49th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Widodo Akmal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hastomo Budiarto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gendo Arbi made a huge save. In the 66th minute Martin Hans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nasum Tarigan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hastomo Budiarto hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Gendo Arbi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sipiongot Febrian went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Robbie Perangin-angin charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robbie Perangin-angin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Mareleng FC got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Perangin-angin. Sipiongot Febrian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gendo Arbi made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Sipiongot Febrian sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Mareleng FC's zone, Sipiongot Febrian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gendo Arbi came out of the goal and Sipiongot Febrian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Widodo Akmal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Widodo Akmal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nasum Tarigan. Cijeungir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Widodo Akmal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cijeungir's goalkeeper Nasum Tarigan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Cijeungir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mahadi Piliang to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes Cijeungir got a freekick which was hit by Elie Ramadhonna. In the 94thth minute of the game Martin Hans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cijeungir's Nasum Tarigan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sipiongot Febrian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Gendo Arbi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
