The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cecep Sipayung kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. With his leg Boy Sinuraya managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when PSP Kotaboenan's Dede Martin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dede Martin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boy Sinuraya having to interfere. Boy Sinuraya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darius Haryanto in the 16th minute of play. Darius Haryanto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boy Sinuraya having to interfere. In the 28th minute, PSP Kotaboenan's Darius Haryanto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Boy Sinuraya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Haryanto in the 33rd minute of the match. Boy Sinuraya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dede Martin went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kitam Mainaky in the 41st minute of play forced PSP Kotaboenan's goalkeeper Firdaus Mulia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Firdaus Mulia came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tolitoli FC's Kitam Mainaky. But to his dismay, Kitam Mainaky quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Dede Martin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Boy Sinuraya firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Kitam Mainaky made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yahya Kusumah got free with Firdaus Mulia in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boy Sinuraya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dede Martin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kitam Mainaky might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Firdaus Mulia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kitam Mainaky ran back to his position shaking his head. Firdaus Mulia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kitam Mainaky, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some careless play in the Tolitoli FC defense, Darius Haryanto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boy Sinuraya. The Tolitoli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boy Sinuraya should have stopped the shot. Mario Ie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firdaus Mulia having to interfere. Darius Haryanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Boy Sinuraya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darius Haryanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute of the match, Kitam Mainaky tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Firdaus Mulia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Firdaus Mulia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yahya Kusumah in the 86th minute. Dede Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boy Sinuraya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dede Martin in the 94th minute of play. Firdaus Mulia came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Tolitoli FC's Yahya Kusumah. But to his dismay, Yahya Kusumah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
