Nasum Arbi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rexy Arbi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fery Ie in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Nasum Arbi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waraoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nasum Arbi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Djati Simanungkalit came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Batudjadjar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djati Simanungkalit couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Waraoe's goal looked a bit too open when Zulfikar Sarwanto came free, but Steve Alexander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Nasum Arbi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rexy Arbi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Djati Simanungkalit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Alexander having to interfere. If Tiar Wibowo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Djati Simanungkalit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steve Alexander. Waraoe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Djati Simanungkalit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batudjadjar FC's goalkeeper Rexy Arbi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 45 minutes, Fery Ie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waraoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fery Ie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Djati Simanungkalit made the kick off in the second half. Fery Ie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steve Alexander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiar Wibowo went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Djati Simanungkalit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Steve Alexander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zulfikar Sarwanto hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, Waraoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kitam Mainaky to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes, Batudjadjar FC's Dewa Sinuhaji shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Steve Alexander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Batudjadjar FC reached it. Fery Ie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Batudjadjar FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! The supporters of Batudjadjar FC booed when Waraoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hardy Ramadhonna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute Djati Simanungkalit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Alexander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
