Romi Rai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Hardy Bangun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sidemen's Hardy Bangun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Sarwanto in the 41st minute of play. Hastomo Idris struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Heri Haryanto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sidemen. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Romi Rai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Sarwanto in the 55th minute of play forced Sidemen's goalkeeper Hardy Bangun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hardy Bangun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Sarwanto in the 56th minute of play. PSS Teupinpanah's Heri Haryanto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save PSS Teupinpanah from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Sidemen's Hastomo Idris slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heri Haryanto. That made the score 2-1 after 74 minutes of play. Hastomo Idris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Rabun Pane fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rochy Kusumah hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Rabun Pane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romi Rai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Hardy Bangun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mario Sarwanto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sidemen's goalkeeper Hardy Bangun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. PSS Teupinpanah had won after a very even match.
