In the 2nd match minute, Inter Malaysia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Ginting to maneuver through the defense. Joshua Priyatno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dede Arbi, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The audience was convinced that Femi Simamora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jojo Martin was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. A well-hit corner resulted in Jojo Darwis heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter Malaysia's goalkeeper Joshua Priyatno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Sipiongot Prima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Priyatno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sipiongot Prima came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Binjei FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sipiongot Prima couldn't finish the play. If Femi Simamora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Femi Simamora stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Cecep Febrian left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Malaysia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Dede Arbi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jojo Darwis hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Cecep Febrian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter Malaysia's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecep Febrian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jojo Martin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joshua Priyatno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hardy Chaniago, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Cecep Febrian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Binjei FC's Jojo Martin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Porman Sembiring hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, Femi Simamora cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jojo Martin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 76 minutes, Femi Simamora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Malaysia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Femi Simamora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sipiongot Prima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Priyatno having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Hardy Chaniago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joshua Priyatno. Hardy Chaniago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Dede Arbi in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joshua Priyatno, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Inter Malaysia fans cheered their team off the field, for while Binjei FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
