Martin Wibowo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigit Arbi to maneuver through the defense. When Firdaus Panjaitan fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's protests and gave Firdaus Panjaitan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Firdaus Panjaitan to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes of play, youth malaysia's Donny Bangun made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Alexander was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute of the match Haikal Suprianto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mario Alexander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Uum Ie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Alexander having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Fery Sipayung mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu and the youth malaysia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fery Sipayung to maneuver through the defense. Andi Sugendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mario Alexander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Bangun, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's goal looked a bit too open when Andi Sugendo came free, but Mario Alexander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Alexander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andi Sugendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's Mario Alexander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Bangun in the 42nd minute of play. Reynaldo Sinambela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porman Bangun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donny Bangun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Alexander having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Porman Bangun to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porman Bangun in the 54th minute of play forced youth malaysia's goalkeeper Reynaldo Sinambela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andi Sugendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mario Alexander acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Micky Ridliwan. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's goalkeeper Mario Alexander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mario Alexander made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Andi Sugendo sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donny Bangun fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mario Alexander didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. When Haikal Sarwanto fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's protests and gave Haikal Sarwanto a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu got a freekick which was hit by Haikal Sarwanto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andi Sugendo got free with Mario Alexander in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Sigit Arbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Donny Bangun managed to get in a good position for a shot. youth malaysia's supporters rose to their feet, but Donny Bangun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Alexander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Sinambela came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu's Porman Bangun. But to his dismay, Porman Bangun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the match was over youth malaysia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bersekutu Bertambah Mutu throughout the match.
