An unexpectedly hard shot by Hastomo Simanungkalit in the 10th minute of play forced Polari FC's goalkeeper Putu Akmal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Taufik Martin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kompos Sarwanto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Polari FC's Hardy Haryanto-Ie in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Cecep Sugendo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Polari FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cecep Sugendo hit a great ball. Mulyana Fitriansyah was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Putu Akmal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Sipayung, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Zulfikri Eiboy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kompos Sarwanto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 27th playminute. Fery Ie's late challenge caught a Polari FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fery Ie helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sunway Lions's Fery Ie got a free kick in the 30th minute. Hardy Haryanto-Ie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Taufik Martin came out and tried to block the shot, but Hardy Haryanto-Ie slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jatuh Sugendo during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jatuh Sugendo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Sunway Lions's Hastomo Simanungkalit nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Putu Akmal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.

In the 66th minute, Henry Sipayung ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Putu Akmal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Henry Sipayung's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Putu Akmal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sunway Lions's zone, Kompos Sarwanto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taufik Martin came out of the goal and Kompos Sarwanto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kompos Sarwanto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
