The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Donny Piliang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dede Priyatno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rexy Wijaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joshua Mulia might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dede Priyatno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rexy Wijaya in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dede Priyatno saved PSP Tempilang from getting behind. Haryanto Sinulingga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andi Ginting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nasum Eiboy charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nasum Eiboy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Tjibunian's Nasum Eiboy got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bulek Kooth got free with Haryanto Sinulingga in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andi Ginting made a kick off. Andi Ginting hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Henry Sinuraya hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Joshua Mulia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dede Priyatno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joshua Mulia couldn't finish the play. Rexy Wijaya did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Dede Priyatno 95 minutes into the match. Despite being the better team, Tjibunian failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
