Taufik Prima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ainar Vananurk, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With a little luck, kelantan's Taufik Prima got control of the ball when Ainar Vananurk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ainar Vananurk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taufik Prima having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Ainar Vananurk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Taufik Prima. Ainar Vananurk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Awalludin Haryanto-Ie in the 24th minute of play forced Urawa Reds's goalkeeper Ciro Caccavale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urawa Reds's 汪峰翀 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Widodo Dewa, made in the 25th minute of the game. Widodo Dewa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ainar Vananurk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Taufik Prima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Widodo Dewa's late challenge caught a Urawa Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Widodo Dewa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to kelantan getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Widodo Dewa hit a great ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Henry Sipayung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. kelantan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Sipayung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Gustavo Erlantz fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urawa Reds's protests and gave Gustavo Erlantz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Urawa Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Erlantz to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Ainar Vananurk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Urawa Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The corner led to Urawa Reds's Serafino Txindoki getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in kelantan's zone, Ainar Vananurk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taufik Prima came out of the goal and Ainar Vananurk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taufik Prima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ainar Vananurk's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Awalludin Haryanto-Ie in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ciro Caccavale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Aare Eenmaa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Caccavale didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 93rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1.
