After a rather tough play, Lawong's Haryanto Dewa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Putu Idris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kompos Subagdja in the 33rd minute of the match. Kompos Subagdja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Putu Idris having to interfere. Bulek Pane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonard Wibowo having to make a save. Tono Sipayung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lawong's Putu Idris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tono Sipayung in the 44th minute of play. Tono Sipayung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Putu Idris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After 97 minutes, Hastomo Guchi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PSM Cagak and the Lawong players grew even worse after the yellow card.
