Hendrawan Wibowo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hastomo Sitorus's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, PSM Wonohardjo's goal looked a bit too open when Hastomo Sitorus came free, but Hendrawan Wibowo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Rio Waluyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSM Wonohardjo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rio Waluyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to PSM Wonohardjo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Bento Dermawan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Djati Romatua in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hendrawan Wibowo saved PSM Wonohardjo from getting behind. Hendrawan Wibowo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djati Romatua in the 37th minute of the match. After some careless play in the PSM Wonohardjo defense, Hastomo Sitorus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hendrawan Wibowo. The PSM Wonohardjo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hendrawan Wibowo should have stopped the shot. In the 45th match minute, Marok was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djati Romatua to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Dian Sinuraya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heri Simamora was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Djati Romatua made a kick off. Marok's Heri Simamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dian Sinuraya in the 55th minute of play. Awalludin Sarwanto hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Hendrawan Wibowo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Wijaya in the 59th minute of the match. Hastomo Sitorus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendrawan Wibowo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Dian Sinuraya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Heri Simamora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Marok walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
