The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Lempuyangan FC's zone, Darius Haryanto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taufik Chaniago came out of the goal and Darius Haryanto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 played minutes Lempuyangan FC got a freekick which was hit by Fadh Karo-karo. 11 minutes into the match, PSP Panjaitan's Darius Haryanto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Taufik Chaniago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mahadi Piliang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Putu Guci in the 15th minute of play. Lempuyangan FC's Rexy Haryanto suffered a concussion after 16 minutes and had to leave the field. Widodo Ridliwan charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Widodo Ridliwan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes PSP Panjaitan got a freekick which was hit by Widodo Ridliwan. In the 18th minute Putu Guci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahadi Piliang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jakob Sinambela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Lempuyangan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Sinambela came free, but Taufik Chaniago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fadh Karo-karo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Putu Guci made a precise shot to the right of Mahadi Piliang. PSP Panjaitan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to PSP Panjaitan getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Iswadi Alexander hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Leonard Waluyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahadi Piliang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fadh Karo-karo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Mahadi Piliang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes PSP Panjaitan got a freekick which was hit by Iswadi Alexander. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Putu Guci made the kick off in the second half. If Jakob Sinambela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fadh Romatua during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Darius Haryanto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taufik Chaniago having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lempuyangan FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
