A collision led to Louise getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Rio Febrian hit a great ball. Pandapotan Alexander's late challenge caught a Louise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Candra Chaniago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Andre Bangun managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Louise's Paijo Haryanto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rochy Kusumah might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wahyu Panjaitan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rochy Kusumah ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 59 minutes, Rochy Kusumah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSM Sambipilu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rochy Kusumah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rochy Kusumah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Wahyu Panjaitan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wahyu Panjaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iswadi Cahyono Putro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louise's Candra Chaniago got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Bangun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paijo Haryanto in the 68th minute. Wahyu Arbi charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wahyu Arbi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wahyu Arbi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Louise's Wahyu Panjaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rochy Kusumah in the 71st minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, PSM Sambipilu's Iswadi Cahyono Putro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wahyu Panjaitan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rochy Kusumah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Iswadi Cahyono Putro managed to get in a good position for a shot. PSM Sambipilu's supporters rose to their feet, but Iswadi Cahyono Putro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wahyu Panjaitan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wahyu Panjaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iswadi Cahyono Putro, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
