The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 21st minute Donny Martin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigit Sinuraya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Sipiongot Sinulingga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulfikri Romatua in the 27th minute of play forced Legokjawa FC's goalkeeper Steve Mainaky to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Firdaus Sitorus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kajoeagoeng FC's Sigit Sinuraya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donny Martin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Sigit Sinuraya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sipiongot Sinulingga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steve Mainaky made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zulfikri Romatua in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zulfikri Romatua was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Donny Martin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Sigit Sinuraya managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Legokjawa FC's Donny Martin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Zulfikri Romatua came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Kajoeagoeng FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zulfikri Romatua couldn't finish the play. Zulfikri Romatua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Mainaky having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Sipiongot Sinulingga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kajoeagoeng FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sipiongot Sinulingga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Mainaky breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sipiongot Sinulingga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Legokjawa FC's zone, Zulfikri Romatua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Mainaky came out of the goal and Zulfikri Romatua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Kajoeagoeng FC's goal looked a bit too open when Firdaus Sitorus came free, but Sigit Sinuraya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Firdaus Sitorus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Donny Martin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Ichwan Prima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kajoeagoeng FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legokjawa FC the free kick. The supporters of Legokjawa FC booed when Kajoeagoeng FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ichwan Prima didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Legokjawa FC's Firdaus Sitorus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sigit Sinuraya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sigit Sinuraya made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Donny Martin sent off a good shot on target.
