Elie Sitorus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Daus Muchtaji took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Idris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Andre Idris put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Daus Muchtaji. If Ricky Budiarto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, PSM Lasosodo's Zulfikri Barus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elie Sitorus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. PSM Lasosodo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zulfikri Barus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, PSS Laoboekit's goal looked a bit too open when Zulfikri Barus came free, but Elie Sitorus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zulfikri Barus in the 67th minute of play forced PSS Laoboekit's goalkeeper Elie Sitorus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of PSM Lasosodo booed when PSS Laoboekit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiar Oktavianus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched PSM Lasosodo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
