Budi Akmal's late challenge caught a Argasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Budi Akmal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute, one of Kihambatang:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kihambatang. After 10 played minutes Kihambatang got a freekick which was hit by Hendrawan Simamora. 11 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Guchi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cecep Fitriansyah. Kihambatang's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Guchi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Bongky Muchtaji had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Guchi in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecep Fitriansyah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st match minute, Kihambatang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bongky Muchtaji to maneuver through the defense. Steve Sugendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paijo Kooth having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Fitriansyah made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Andre Sipayung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bongky Muchtaji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Kihambatang fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Kihambatang's Bongky Muchtaji looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
