Jojo Karo-karo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Micky Eiboy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Elie Waluyo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yahya Chaniago was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kompos Oktavianus in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Micky Eiboy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, Merah's Kompos Oktavianus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Micky Eiboy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Elie Waluyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djati Sinambela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rdth minute of the game Jojo Karo-karo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patoeng's Micky Eiboy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Andre Guchi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patoeng the free kick. Yahya Chaniago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Djati Sinambela in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Patoeng's Micky Eiboy got control of the ball when Kompos Oktavianus tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Merah getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. In the 66th minute, Andre Guchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Merah's goal looked a bit too open when Elie Waluyo came free, but Yahya Chaniago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andra Ramadhonna kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Patoeng defense, Jojo Karo-karo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Micky Eiboy. The Patoeng fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Micky Eiboy should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Kompos Oktavianus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merah's supporters rose to their feet, but Kompos Oktavianus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Micky Eiboy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th match minute, Patoeng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andra Ramadhonna to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Patoeng's zone, Kompos Oktavianus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Micky Eiboy came out of the goal and Kompos Oktavianus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes Patoeng got a freekick which was hit by Elie Waluyo. The Patoeng supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Merah's performance. The match ended with a win for Merah.
