Porman Sembiring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Merah defense, Porman Sembiring kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yahya Chaniago. The Merah fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yahya Chaniago should have stopped the shot. Kompos Oktavianus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bongky Sinulingga having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Tjlapar's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Guchi came free, but Bongky Sinulingga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Kompos Oktavianus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bongky Sinulingga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jojo Karo-karo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bongky Sinulingga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Jojo Karo-karo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bongky Sinulingga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kompos Oktavianus, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Kompos Oktavianus came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Merah fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kompos Oktavianus couldn't finish the play. Bongky Sugendo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A hard and well directed shot from Dian Suprianto led 31 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Merah's Yahya Chaniago became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. Porman Sembiring blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yahya Chaniago having to make a save. Rochy Chaniago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yahya Chaniago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Merah's zone, Porman Sembiring stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yahya Chaniago came out of the goal and Porman Sembiring tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rochy Chaniago in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yahya Chaniago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andre Guchi's late challenge caught a Tjlapar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andre Guchi helped the player get up and apologised. After 66 played minutes Merah got a freekick which was hit by Andre Guchi. In the 67th minute, Dian Suprianto sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Merah's Yahya Chaniago didn't even have to move. When Rochy Chaniago came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Tjlapar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rochy Chaniago couldn't finish the play. When Tjlapar's Porman Sembiring in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merah's goalie prevented a goal. After 79 minutes, Bongky Sugendo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merah and the Tjlapar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Merah's Bongky Sugendo got a free kick in the 79th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Merah's zone, Rochy Chaniago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yahya Chaniago came out of the goal and Rochy Chaniago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andre Guchi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Yahya Chaniago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rochy Chaniago in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Jojo Karo-karo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Merah's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
