The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Idris during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firdaus Darwis in the 15th minute of play forced PSM Silimapuluh's goalkeeper Kitam Panjaitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fery Sitorus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kitam Panjaitan having to make a save. 19 minutes into the match, Kaloei's goal looked a bit too open when Pandapotan Fitriansyah came free, but Elie Mulia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Mahadi Budiarto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bongky Reza, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The supporters of PSM Silimapuluh booed when Kaloei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kitam Reza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruslan Kusumah hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Pandapotan Fitriansyah charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pandapotan Fitriansyah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to PSM Silimapuluh getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Pandapotan Fitriansyah hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Firdaus Darwis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kitam Panjaitan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Kaloei's Elie Mulia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mulyana Kaban in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zulfikar Akmal made a kick off. Zulfikar Akmal in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, PSM Silimapuluh's goal looked a bit too open when Firdaus Darwis came free, but Kitam Panjaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zulfikar Akmal hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Kaloei's Fery Sitorus got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kitam Panjaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firdaus Darwis, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. PSM Silimapuluh's Kitam Panjaitan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fery Sitorus in the 95th minute of play. The PSM Silimapuluh players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
