After having played for 4 minutes, Pandapotan Fitriansyah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSM Silimapuluh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pandapotan Fitriansyah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mulyana Kaban in the 10th minute of play forced PSM Bagis's goalkeeper Sigit Fitriansyah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sigit Fitriansyah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zulfikar Akmal's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mulyana Kaban in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sigit Fitriansyah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zulfikar Akmal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Kitam Panjaitan managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when PSM Bagis's Andra Hans fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mulyana Kaban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sigit Fitriansyah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zulfikar Akmal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kitam Panjaitan had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Sipiongot Suprianto from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zulfikar Akmal in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sigit Fitriansyah saved PSM Bagis from getting behind. Bulek Simamora hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Sipiongot Suprianto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kitam Panjaitan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sipiongot Suprianto, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sipiongot Suprianto was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andra Hans in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kitam Panjaitan saved PSM Silimapuluh from getting behind. When Andra Hans came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the PSM Bagis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andra Hans couldn't finish the play. If Sipiongot Suprianto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mulyana Kaban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Sigit Fitriansyah made a huge save. Andra Hans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sipiongot Suprianto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of PSM Silimapuluh:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PSM Bagis:s goal. The referee gave PSM Bagis a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Awalludin Haryanto-Ie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of PSM Silimapuluh's Kitam Panjaitan. 1-0. In the 92nd minute, Mulyana Kaban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. PSM Silimapuluh's Zulfikar Akmal got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PSM Silimapuluh's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because PSM Bagis had won, even though PSM Silimapuluh had held more of the ball.
