Haryanto Wijaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dian Barus having to interfere. In the 25th minute Mahadi Idris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taufik Sitepu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dian Barus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haryanto Wijaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haryanto Wijaya struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Dian Barus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gununganjar. After 36 played minutes Senamang got a freekick which was hit by Mulyana Guchi. In the 37th minute, Lelo Chaniago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Rio Suprianto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taufik Sitepu. Gununganjar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rio Suprianto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lelo Chaniago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The penalty shot was made by Elie Sitorus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gununganjar's Taufik Sitepu. 2-1. After 90 minutes, Martin Simamora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Senamang and the Gununganjar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Martin Simamora kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
