The supporters of Tjilangke booed when Sadamaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Widodo Wijaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Piliang struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Bongky Romatua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tjilangke. Hardy Fitriansyah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bongky Romatua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tjilangke's Taufik Hans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Tjilangke from getting a goal against them. If Ari Priyatno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 44 played minutes Tjilangke got a freekick which was hit by Fery Haryanto. In the 47th match minute, Sadamaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferry Rai to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ichwan Kaban was the one to do the kick off. Ruslan Tarigan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ichwan Kaban's late challenge caught a Sadamaya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ichwan Kaban helped the player get up and apologised. If Robbie Hans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruslan Tarigan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 78 minutes, Martin Piliang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tjilangke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Piliang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Piliang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Bongky Romatua made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Sadamaya's goalkeeper Bongky Romatua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ade Suprianto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruslan Tarigan in the 92nd minute of play forced Tjilangke's goalkeeper Taufik Hans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
