Steve Sinulingga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Tjilangke's Ichwan Kaban slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Steve Sinulingga. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Taufik Hans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fery Subagdja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Tjilangke's Ichwan Kaban sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steve Sinulingga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rexy Akmal hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. PSM Kalangbaoe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Ichwan Kaban scored to the left of an out of position Steve Sinulingga, making the score, 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, PSM Kalangbaoe's goalkeeper Steve Sinulingga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Piliang. Fery Subagdja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Taufik Hans having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tjilangke's Hardy Fitriansyah got a free kick in the 35th minute. Bento Martin, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Taufik Hans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jatuh Piliang, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some careless play in the PSM Kalangbaoe defense, Martin Piliang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steve Sinulingga. The PSM Kalangbaoe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steve Sinulingga should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ichwan Kaban to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Martin Piliang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Sinulingga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Piliang in the 61st minute of play forced PSM Kalangbaoe's goalkeeper Steve Sinulingga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Adith Priyatno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Sinulingga skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tjilangke's zone, Jatuh Piliang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Taufik Hans came out of the goal and Jatuh Piliang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fery Subagdja in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Taufik Hans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Martin Piliang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Ade Suprianto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Sinulingga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Taufik Hans was a little too slow when Fery Subagdja got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 3-1. In the 80th match minute, Tjilangke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hardy Fitriansyah to maneuver through the defense. Fery Subagdja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Fery Subagdja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ade Suprianto hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Fery Subagdja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Taufik Hans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Jatuh Piliang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSM Kalangbaoe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jatuh Piliang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hardy Fitriansyah hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Tjilangke's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
