When 张亦海 came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the 贵州遵义猎鹰联队 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 张亦海 couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the game, 狄泉兴 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. 高宁昆 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 毛皓国 made a kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, 贵州遵义猎鹰联队's goal looked a bit too open when 尹兴希 came free, but 孔彬弘 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, 云南丽江公鹿俱乐部队's goalkeeper 高宁昆 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 史益风. After having played for 83 minutes, 狄泉兴 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 贵州遵义猎鹰联队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 狄泉兴 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If 狄泉兴 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when 史益风 got free with 高宁昆 in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute 狄泉兴 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 高宁昆 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 狄泉兴 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. 高宁昆 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 史益风 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but 高宁昆 made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, 狄泉兴 managed to get in a good position for a shot. 贵州遵义猎鹰联队's supporters rose to their feet, but 狄泉兴 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 高宁昆 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in 贵州遵义猎鹰联队's zone, 毛皓国 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 孔彬弘 came out of the goal and 毛皓国 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 贵州遵义猎鹰联队's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
