An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by 倪庭铮 got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by 湖南永州坦克联队's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. 庄伟康 was slow to take the kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when 庄寒沙 made the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 俞博冰 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. 柯响南 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 庄寒沙 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 柳常城 having to interfere. If 庄寒沙 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of 江苏淮安水蛇俱乐部队 booed when 湖南永州坦克联队 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. 吕思兴 didn't get a good kick on the ball.
