The ball went over the crossbar instead. 孙笑翀 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 顾阳雄 in the 20th minute of play. 顾阳雄 took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 孙笑翀. 孙笑翀 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 王景珂 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 于轩平, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 顾沙烽 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. 孙笑翀 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 台湾省高雄皇家队's 于轩平 got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
