In the 8th minute, 尤树荣 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, 四川全兴足球俱乐部's 严常伟 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 林榕朋 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 林榕朋 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 潘响斌, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as 潘响斌 kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 林榕朋. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. 乔益谦 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 曾榕乐 having to interfere. If 严常伟 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when 乔益谦 got free with 曾榕乐 in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 曾榕乐 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 尤树荣 in the 66th minute of play. 尤树荣's late challenge caught a 四川全兴足球俱乐部's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
