An unexpectedly hard shot by 柯常翀 in the 42nd minute of play forced 大连实德's goalkeeper 黄斌源 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, 高亦悦 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 四川遂宁圣徒俱乐部队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 高亦悦 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

If 方兴邦 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 吴森国 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 于远海 having to interfere. There was no doubt that 大连实德 were the better team. 大连实德's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
