If 程星政 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When 曹珂常 fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 湖北襄樊奇才俱乐部队's protests and gave 曹珂常 a yellow card for diving instead. 39 minutes into the game, 庞斌洲 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. 毛悦凡 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 曲景棋 was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute 钱榕延 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 蒋岩笑 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, 湖北襄樊奇才俱乐部队's 曲景棋 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 蒋岩笑 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 蒋岩笑 made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when 程星政 sent off a good shot on target. But to his dismay, 冯挺雄 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 卓云凡 during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to 湖北襄樊奇才俱乐部队 getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. 卓云凡 hit a great ball. In the 95thth minute of the game 徐钢奕 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 湖北襄樊奇才俱乐部队's 毛悦凡 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
