In the 13th match minute, 广西梧 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 莫树益 to maneuver through the defense. 康洲俊 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 朱益平 having to interfere. 朱益平 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 康洲俊 in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陆延鸿 in the 18th minute of play forced 广西梧's goalkeeper 朱益平 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 康洲俊 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that 白凌伟's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 袁朋源 was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 俞强洋 in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 袁朋源 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If 康洲俊 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 朱益平 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 陆延鸿's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 严霆海 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but 袁朋源 made a huge save. A collision led to 上海长宁火车头联队 getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. 张亦邦 hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 白凌伟 to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, 广西梧's goalkeeper 朱益平 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 康洲俊. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, 陆延鸿 put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of 朱益平. 柳崇渊's late challenge caught a 广西梧's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 柳崇渊 helped the player get up and apologised. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, 吕义磊 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 上海长宁火车头联队's 康洲俊 got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 朱益平 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 陆延鸿, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 朱益平 made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when 康洲俊 sent off a good shot on target. 陆延鸿 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
