The referee ignored 广西防城港快船联队's protests and gave 麦战震 a yellow card for diving instead. 麦战震 kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, 广西防城港快船联队's goal looked a bit too open when 赵朋桦 came free, but 柳珂树 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, 姜政坤 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. 曲建景 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by 武挺俊 in the 17th minute of play forced ≮Empire≯Killer☆Sapphire's goalkeeper 曲建景 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 姜政坤 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 曲建景 having to interfere. 庞思傲 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 柳珂树 having to make a save. In the 27th minute, 秦剑庭 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 周光迪, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. But to his dismay, 庞思傲 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 姜政坤 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When 庞思傲 came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the ≮Empire≯Killer☆Sapphire fans jumped to their feet.
