The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 陈珂烨 to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57thth minute of the game 陈珂烨 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Auckland City FC's 许义云 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, 杨军朋 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Auckland City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but 杨军朋 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 杨军朋 struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. 武松超 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Auckland City FC. In the 64th minute, 尹明钢 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 沈卫鸿 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 许义云 having to interfere. When 陈珂烨 fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 湖南永州雷兽代表队's protests and gave 陈珂烨 a yellow card for diving instead.
