The audience was convinced that 白烽寒's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 庄沙益 was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in 山西临汾异军联队's zone, 蔡希岩 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 傅超远 came out of the goal and 蔡希岩 tried to chip the ball over his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 任延霆 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Shijiazhuang FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When 尹鹰烽 fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 山西临汾异军联队's protests and gave 尹鹰烽 a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Shijiazhuang FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. 邵霆朋 hit a great ball. 张德益 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. 庄沙益 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The penalty shot was made by 毛银志, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shijiazhuang FC's 庄沙益. 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Shijiazhuang FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while 山西临汾异军联队 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
