To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 邓兴昂 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 梅坤辉 having to interfere. 梅坤辉 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 邓兴昂, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, 固桥大队 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 陆远棋 to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, 陆远棋 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 固桥大队's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 长沙开拓者代表队 the free kick. 陆远棋 hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 长沙开拓者代表队's zone, 邵迅邦 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 汪潮国 came out of the goal and 邵迅邦 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 梅坤辉 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 邓兴昂 in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of 长沙开拓者代表队 booed when 固桥大队 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. 麦默雄 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute 邓兴昂 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 梅坤辉 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when 邵迅邦 made the kick off in the second half. If 巩宁烽 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by 邵迅邦 in the 55th minute of play forced 长沙开拓者代表队's goalkeeper 汪潮国 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 汪潮国 made an important save on a dangerous shot by 巩宁烽 in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, 邓兴昂 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 梅坤辉 was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When 张义枫 fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 长沙开拓者代表队's protests and gave 张义枫 a yellow card for diving instead. 张义枫 hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 邵迅邦 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. 汪潮国 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 汪潮国 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 邵迅邦, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, 陆远棋 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, 长沙开拓者代表队's 傅坤钢 tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 巩宁烽 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. 汪潮国 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 巩宁烽 struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. 汪潮国 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 固桥大队. 邵迅邦 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 长沙开拓者代表队's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
